So yeah -- I pretty much rock the Haggard Housemom Look from Monday through Friday so on the weekends, I like to bust out THE SPARKLES :D I'm a very much all-or-nothing kinda gal which means I will wear NO makeup or I will wear A LOT of makeup.
Here is the look I wore on Friday. All of the eye colors on my eyes are eye pigments from Madd Style Cosmetix, which is my favorite indie makeup company by a long shot. I am building myself a lovely little collection of MSC products thus far and add to it whenever I can.
For Saturday's look, I used four MSC pigments. From outer to inner, they are as follows:
* Mondo (purple)
* Etco Cooler (lime green)
* Columbia and Dr. Rockso (whites -- used as highlights)
I also wore a Sally Hansen Lip Shimmer in 'Instinct' that my lovely pal sent me and used my Physician's Formula "Happy Booster" blush which, I must admit, works well but I am mostly attracted to the adorable packaging of it. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out here. I'm a sucker for hearts.
And yeah, that cute little man over there that got into one of my highlighter piggies? That's my very own makeup artist who also happens to be my son. He's pretty rad, I tell ya that much :D
On Saturday, I busted out with a sample of Goldilux from Sugarpill Cosmetics that another lovely friend had sent me. I can't be certain, but I can almost guarantee that this stuff is made of Leprechaun Pee (That's a good thing, my friends. A very, very good thing). Goldilux is truly magical. My camera couldn't even almost capture how lovely it really is. It really does look like pure gold and it delivers all kinds of sparkles, I assure you.
I added a few Madd Style Cosmetix colors to the look -- Dirty Beats in the crease and Brown Sugah as a highlight. This was my first time using Sugarpill and, after trying it, I most certainly intend to buy some of their products in the future.
I used an ELF blush called "Tickled Pink" and wore Sally Hansen Lip Shimmer in 'Instinct' again.
Today is Sunday and I have no plans which means I'm back in Comfortable Slob Mode -- And let me tell you, I'm enjoying every minute of it -- Though I might bust out with another look later this afternoon. We'll see.
Thanks for reading, friends!

Nfu Oh Flakies: 56 -- This Stuff Delivers THE SPARKLES!
There really isn't much to say about this polish other than IT. IS. EPIC.
No, really. While I do LOVE me some nail polish, I don't normally go CRAZY for it. Especially for the pricier brands (Yes, I'm a cheapo) -- But when my friend Roxy (who is one of the biggest nail polish lovers I know) told me to check out a hard-to-find brand called NFU Oh, I listened. She means business. :D
I wasn't expecting to buy, honestly (No, really -- I swear it!). I just intended on perusing the website (which is http://www.fabuloustreet.com, by the way). Little did I know that once I viewed a few of their 'Flakies', I wouldn't be able to sleep until I purchased at least one (I literally couldn't sleep. Seriously. I may or may not have issues...).
Moving right along, I knew that I HAD TO HAVE *this one*, which is called NFU Oh Victorian Polish 056 on the website and is in the "Flakies" category (Actually, I also got one of the colors from their Holo line, which is number 065). It was a challenge only choosing two, let me tell you -- But again, for the price (which is $12.50 a bottle with free shipping), I wasn't prepared to go crazy -- Especially on a bunch of polishes that I had not yet tried.
I placed my order mid-week and my package arrived by Saturday. Both polishes arrived neatly packaged with no room for a postal worker vs. nail polish showdown (Sometimes packages don't survive, so this pleased me).
It was evening by the time I realized my package had arrived, but once I saw my polish, I knew there was no way I would be able to wait until the next morning to try it out. So, off I went. :)
Here is a photo of my two beloved NFU Oh polishes -- How cute are the bottles? Um, VERY!
I decided to pair my Nfu Oh 56 with a lovely, dark blue polish I got at CVS last week for 75% off (Winning!). Here's a pic of my nails quickly painted with said blue, which is a Rimmel color called "Midnight Blue":
I couldn't WAIT to put my Flakies over it -- And when I did, I LOVED the results! One, two or even three pictures wouldn't do it -- I chose to photo bomb you!
This polish gives me the 'mermaid effect' that would take layers and layers of cheaper polishes to achieve. Also, it dries glossy -- very glossy (Another appealing quality, IMO).
The iridescent flakes are extremely sparkly and shift colors in certain lights, as you can probably see from my photos.
Final thoughts: GO BUY THIS POLISH! I assure you, you won't be disappointed. :)
Thanks for reading!

Nail Trail
What can I say? I love nail polish -- Like a LOT.
I don't claim to be a boss at painting; I'm clearly not an expert -- But painting my nails is one of my favorite pastimes. :)
Here are a few of my more recent nail looks:
This is "Belle of the Ball" by Confetti:
This was my first time using this brand and I liked it a LOT. I will definitely buy it again. Took only two coats and applied very smoothly. For $1.99, I was very pleased.
This is "Grey Area" by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear:
I've got lots of love for Sally. The Xtreme Wear line is probably my favorite. Love the price, love the color payoff. This was two coats of Grey Area with a top coat over it.
This is "Blue Me Away" also by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear:
One of my favorite blues. Took only two coats to look this vibrant.
This is the Sally Hansen black Crackle over another Xtreme Wear pink called "Hot Magenta":
This was my first experience using a Crackle/Shatter of any kind. I was pleased with the result. I do find that with this particular crackle, it needs to be applied pretty thinly or else it won't crackle quite so much.
Here's another Crackle look -- This was a black Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear with the silver Sally Hansen Crackle on top.
Got lots of compliments on this look. I found that the SH Silver Crackle was a bit easier to apply than the black but didn't crackle as much. Perhaps I applied it too thickly. I was still happy with the end result.
And there you have it -- A few different looks over a few week time period. Thanks for viewing!

I'm gonna kick off my blog with some of my recent favorite animal pics -- Because, if you know me, you KNOW I love me some animals.
Prepare yourself for a CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
You're welcome :)
